Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning

  • The trainer will use their skills and knowledge to design a safe programme of exercise to achieve the client’s goals.
  • This will take into account: the client's age, health, lifestyle, background, occupation, fitness levels, likes and dislikes related to exercise and personality.
  • The Trainer will endeavour to educate, motivate and inspire the Client to reach these goals.
  • The trainer will provide the coaching, supervision, advice and support that the client will need to help them achieve their goals during each session.
  • Health Screening - All clients must complete a Health Screening 1-on-1 initial session before commencing any exercise programme.  The client may wish to Opt Out of the Health Screening (Initial Session) however it should be noted that it is against the advice of the Trainer to Opt Out.
  • Your trainer may require a letter of 'medical clearance' from your GP depending on your health status. (Please be aware that your GP may charge for providing this letter).
  • Your trainer cannot be held liable in any way for undeclared or unknown medical conditions.
  • If your trainer misses your session without at least 24 hours notice you will be credited with an additional session on top of the missed session.
  • To lead by example and give 100% commitment.
  • To be completely honest if goals are unattainable in our expert opinion.

The Client's Obligations:

  • Be on time so that a full session can be achieved on each visit. Arrive 10 minutes early to warm up and stay 10 minutes after to cool down as instructed by the Trainer unless it is made clear that warm up and cool down are part of the session, this will be outlined in writing depending on your session or membership package.
  • The client is required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
  • Clothes should be loose fitting and non-restrictive. Footwear should be comfortable and provide adequate support.  Clothing should be weather appropriate if Training outdoors.
  • Commit to the programme 100% in order to achieve results.
  • Provide all information needed to achieve goals eg; Food diary, sleep schedule, work schedule, alternative commitment,  urine samples (if agreed necessary prior to engagement).
  • If the trainer requires, provide further medical information from a practitioner.

Session Cancellation Policy:

48 hours notice of cancellation is required for all appointments.

Notice of less that 48 hours will incur a full payment of the session fee.

Re-arranging a Session:

At least 24 hrs notice is required to re-arrange a session; this can only be done if the trainer has the availability you need.

If the trainer is unavailable to re-arrange, the session would either need to be kept or be cancelled.

Rearrangement of a session can only me made once per booking.  If a session if required to be rearranged or cancelled on more than one occasion the session will be kept in the first rearranged slot and will stand.  If the client is unable to make the re-booked session they will not be entitled to a refund.

Lateness Policy:

If the client is late for a session the session cannot be extended and will end at the appointed time. If the trainer is late additional time will be added to the session or to subsequent sessions. If the client arrives more than 20 minutes late for a scheduled appointment, the trainer may leave the premises and the appointment may be forfeited.

Fee Charging Policy For Membership:

1 Month Membership RPS

3 Month Membership RPS

6 Month Membership RPS

A non refundable deposit of 10% is required upon booking a Membership - Retained Personal Services (RPS).

All sessions must be booked 7 days in advance.  Sessions cannot be rolled over to the following week.  Only one session per week can be re-booked.

Cheques should be made payable to Louis Evling-Jones. For bank transfers Louis will provide you with the account details. All RPS Membership packages must be redeemed within 30 days of the of the end duration of the RPS.

Other:

Failure to give proper notice (48 hours notice) 2 times or more times during the same RPS Month period, will require you to go to the end of the wait-list when signing up for additional packages.

Long Term Absences - Injury, Illness, Pregnancy & Other

Will be dealt with fairly and on an individual basis. Sessions can be used when you are well and able to do so again. If you are unable to return to the original or an amended version of the training programme after an agreed period of time (6 months or more) the sessions may be transferred to another suitable person or a refunded. (see below for refund structure)

 

Contract Cancellation & Refunds Policy

If you decide to cancel your chosen package, you will be refunded in the following manner:

 

1 Month RPS Package

If you cancel within the first 7 days – 75% refund of remaining sessions.

If you cancel between 7-10 days – 50% refund of remaining sessions.

If you cancel between 11- 21 days – 25% refund of remaining sessions.

Cancellations after 21 days will not be entitled to a refund.

 

3 Month RPS Package

If you cancel within the first 1 (30 days) Month – 75% refund of remaining sessions.

If you cancel between 30 - 45 days – 50% refund of remaining sessions.

If you cancel between 45- 60 days – 25% refund of remaining sessions.

Cancellations after 60 days, (2 months) will not be entitled to a refund.

 

6 Month RPS Package

If you cancel within the first 60 days – 75% refund of remaining sessions.

If you cancel between 60-90 days – 50% refund of remaining sessions.

If you cancel between 90- 120 days – 25% refund of remaining sessions.

Cancellations after 120 days will not be entitled to a refund.

Coaching U18's: ***We require to speak directly with parents or legal guardians when referring U18's, friends or family relatives will not have authority to refer U18's.  Registered clubs, teams and schools will have to gain written permission with parents before coaching can take place, we require at least 1 competent guardian over the age of 18 present for up to every 10 children (U18). When coaching 1 to 1 it is required a parent or guardian is present throughout the entire coaching session, this is non negotiable.

Yes it's boring, yes it's a pain but it has to be done.  Please read though our T&C's which outlines the legal ins and outs of your engagement with Milton Keynes Personal Training.  Please remember to submit a Health Waiver before attending your first session.
